The stone path in Kanagi is part of the "Madama-michi (pearl road)," which was built in the 16th century as an integral means of connecting Shuri to Naha Harbor and the south part of Okinawa's main island. The stone path is made of Ryukyu limestone; houses with red tile roofs can be found nearby, making this a great place to enjoy a stroll.
